Scooter Centrale is Connecticut's first and only full-service retail and repair business dedicated exclusively to the motorscooter. We're very proud of this distinction and take your scootering needs very seriously by working hard to maintain your trust in the services and products we offer. We're also a family-owned and operated business, which means you enjoy personalized service from the moment you walk through our door.

We've been open for business since November 2002 when owner Doug Day and wife Sue first decided to live their passion for Italy and Italian products by adding the Vespa/Piaggio line of scooters to concurrently open our sister store, Vespa Hartford.  Six years later we are 2 stores under one 2800 sq ft showroom roof and a 2000 sq ft repair and restoration facility located at 161 Woodford Avenue in Plainville, Connecticut.

If you're new to the idea of scootering and are just beginning to formulate the idea of making your first purchase, there are a few things you should definitely know. For one, scooters are inexpensive to buy and easy to maintain – MUCH less than half of what you expect to pay for an equally dependable motorcycle.  What's more, they're nostalgic, romantic, and ooze a HUGE amount of style whether you're a mod, urban contemporary or somewhere in between.  As an added bonus, they're actually PRACTICAL for everyday use due to their step-through design, light weight and manueverability so you can even have FUN on the way to work. Many models are also fully automatic and capable of speeds in excess of 40 miles per hour, which also guarantees you a good piece of the road. Above all, they are INCREDIBLY fun to ride, which is reason enough for most.
