Join us for the inaugural ride
of our bimonthly Summer Saturdays Ride Series. This week we’ll visit Elizabeth Park, the oldest municipally operated rose garden in the country.  The 102 acre garden boasts nearly 800 varieties of roses, which should be displaying their most fragrant & beautiful blooms in the coming days, so don’t forget to bring your camera!  The neighboring streets are home to some of Hartford’s oldest and most beautiful mansions, which we’ll scoot by on the way back to the shop. If time allows, we’ll stop at a few more historic sites and grab a snack in West Hartford as well.

AUGUST 2008

SCOOT TOUR OF SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND

August 2nd – 3rd

Mark Your Calendars for the first (and hopefully annual) fall scoot tour and weekend festivities. Routes and eateries are still being discussed, but we are aiming for a 250ish mile ride through
Southern New England

The weekend seems to be shaping up like this: Friday, August 1, Meet-n-Greet at a local watering hole.  On the morning of Saturday, August 2nd we’ll get on the road early, possibly meeting for breakfast first, and head for the open road. While we’ll be sticking to the back roads, it is a ride designed for 150s, and we count the Buddy 125 as a 150. A chase vehicle will follow the crew picking up dropped parts and helping out ailing scoots.

We’ll fire up the grill here at Scooter Centrale so that when participants return, they will be greeted with food & prizes. Folks who are not up to the ride for what ever reason (work? scoot in pieces in your living room? can’t get a babysitter?) are invited to welcome back the adventurous.
